“Rosebud Blooming: Hurting to Healing in His Timing” by Nancy Maggio. In this book, Nancy shares her testimony about her struggles with sin and sickness. She also shares how God saw her through it all and she came out victorious.
There are some glows about this book. To begin, the book is an easy read and has less than 100 pages. Nancy begins each chapter with a poem that connects to the content within the chapter. She uses common language so that anyone can understand and connect with her testimony. She also uses scripture reference and the analogy of a blooming rose to help the reader visualize her faith walk with Christ.
The book could be revised a bit. Nancy could have added a little more detail as she shared her testimony throughout the chapters. The poems may have fit better at the end of the chapters. Finally, the sequential order of the events need to be revised to not confuse the reader.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book! Nancy is a great example of a true disciple. Her testimony could help someone who may not attend a church. She was willing to share her private testimony so that someone might be set free.
